I am a linguist specializing in critical discourse analysis and gender studies, in particular, gendered discourses and identities, gendered stereotypes, hegemonic masculinities as well as media discourses. I got my PhD degree from National University of Singapore in linguistics, where I worked with, and am still working with Associate Professor Michelle Lazar on gendered ideologies in Chinese media discourse. In 2020, I joined as a lecturer the School of Foreign Languages at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics.
